Making Your Own Skin Care Products Out of Necessity
Out of necessity and being fed up of the cosmetic industry (as well as many other industries, including the food industry), I started to make my own skin care, hair care, and dental care products out of scratch. I think I started about 12 months ago, just dabbling and only using small amounts and limited product.
When I dove down the rabbit hole and started to realize the many heresies about who was actually controlling this world and their desired end goal, slowly, and one-day-at a time (with quite a few hiccups), I started to review ingredients listed on the product bottles and labels. Reviewing these label and what was actually in our products and the absurd amount of money we pay for these products that actually poison us, I took it upon myself to make my own. My grandparents did it; they made their own laundry detergent, soaps, creams, and ointments as well as teas and coffees, tinctures, and many other herbal remedies, so why can't I!
Hollyweird and the cosmetic industry promote products that contain baby foreskin cells, and more than likely other baby tissue and/or cells that are in the skin care products. Don't get me started on Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry and the sale for these parts. It's ludicrous.
Stem cell treatments, I get the reasoning behind it for joints or cardiac tissue for repair, but we need ethical guidelines. However, ethics and moral do not exist in these industries when they sell you on beauty. The beauty industry is Big Business and Big Money! This industry has gone awry but I know it's been awry for decades. The question we should ask is, "Does it have any morals?" "Do they actually care about humanity?" Or is it all about the dollar. You can answer that question yourself when you have gone down the rabbit hole. If you haven't gone down the rabbit hole, you don't qualify to respond.
I started making my own products when I went down the rabbit hole and came to realize that almost every product has some petroleum or gas product, alcohol (which dehydrates), and additives or other chemical preservatives that are actual poison, like potassium sorbate. The research, that is always paid for by the big corporations, will "always" tell you that they have your best interest at heart. They don't. You are being lied to. It's their bottom line that they have an interest in, not humanity! Just read any of the skin care products you've recently purchased sold by any of the cosmetic companies and you will see what I mean.
Read my previous blog post An Extraterrestrial Changed My Life Forever to review some of the books I read; this compilation that I listed in this blog post was small, but it can get you started. It can get you on the path of critical thinking, questioning everything, and having an open mind to what is actually happening in the world.
Anyway, I started out by making a moisturizer because that was what I ran out of. My first basic recipe was coconut oil and lavender essential oil. Lavender essential oil is so calming to the mind and skin. I absolutely love this plant and I grow it in my back yard, too. Clearly, my puppy loves it as much as I do. She is constantly gnawing on the flowers or simply sitting in the plants. It's either lavender, rosemary, or pine needles for her. She might have been an herbalist in her past life. lol
Lavender Coconut Oil Moisturizer
1 cup virgin coconut oil
20-30 drops of lavender essential oil
8 oz jar with lid
Slowly melt coconut oil. Add essential oils (increase or decrease essential oils to your preference). I'd start low and increase to your liking. Place in jar with lid. Store in fridge. Because there are no preservatives in the moisturizer, I like to keep it in the fridge. I also love the cool feeling when I rub it on my face, neck and chest.
